Gave up after spending an hour and a half trying to get emojis from my org files to show up when exported via pandoc->latex->pdf. No combinations of UTF-8 or Emoji fonts or XeLatex worked so I guess I don't get emojis.
I feel bad for the young people who have never been able to sit quietly with a song or movie or book, outside of the cacophony of other people’s opinions about it.
