My Mastodon feed right now is chock full of people telling other people why some thing or person or group is bad and why we all must stop using/supporting/talking to them or else we are also bad and it's exhausting and I'm not interested.

After supposedly ending then not ending my tinkering with OpenBSD, I tried installing it on a spare ThinkPad. It was wildly frustrating and I slammed the thing shut after two hours of not being able to bootstrap wifi. Oh well.

I moved back to ZSH from Fish Shell a couple days ago and so far I'm quite happy about it. Things are no longer in "weird" places that I have to think through any time I make a change. I just pop open .zshrc and it's there. $PATH is normal, aliases are normal, etc. etc. Using oh-my-zsh goes against my "Reduce & Simplify" directive, but with just a couple of plugins and no configuration I have all of the features I liked about Fish.

Something I've noticed about myself recently is that I often skip the parts of TV shows and movies where people are fighting. I hit the Skip button until I get to the part where someone "wins" and go from there. I don't do this in movies like, say, John Wick, but in your run-of-the-mill thriller or Marvel movie, the fights are the boring parts. Hell, I skip past a lot of the set pieces, too. I suppose that in my old age, I'm less interested in the "action" portion of action movies.
