The best part about a site like this one is that it's "anti-social media". I can say what I feel like saying without worrying about having to argue with some random person about it. There's something comforting in that. But also a little lazy maybe.
90% of the internet could run happily with Caddy reverse proxying to a Go binary that uses SQLite for storage. OK maybe 50% but still.
For the record, and this will not make me many friends, but I agree with Basecamp's decision a year ago to ban political discourse at work. I've always, as both an employee and a business owner, believed that work belongs to the employer. I do the job and I get paid a salary. That's the entirety of our agreement. People hate hearing that because they want to believe that Company=Bad, Employee=Good but nope. But I disagree with nearly everything else DHH says.
