Too Wes Anderson

I've seen lots of comments about Wes Anderson becoming "too Wes Anderson". His recent films are seen as self-parody. I don't see it as self-parody. It's just Wes Anderson doing that thing he does. He's got a strong style and has stuck with it consistently throughout his career. I happen to love it, so let him dial it up if he wants, I say. The only thing I liked about "Asteroid City" was its Anderson-ness. I hope he keeps doing the same thing forever. It's kind of like AC/DC's music. I've never heard anyone say, "I wish AC/DC would stop making music that sounds so much like AC/DC". Or "Oh great, another Vermeer painting of people sitting by a window." :).
