I am sitting on the fence between plain text and GUI-licious tools. I'm typing this in Tinderbox and spending lots of time in my Daybook.tbx file. I've reacquainted myself with OmniFocus and have even fired up the new version of Curio. On the other hand, I remain deep into Emacs, but have also been using Mutt for email and Taskwarrior for tasks and now I'm infatuated with nb. So you can see my dilemma. I love so many things about all of them that I never want to give any of them up completely. So I continue to scatter my stuff among a dozen apps and end up frustrated. I'm still having fun, though, so I guess it's worth it?
When I like something, I tend to say, "It's really good!" but when I don't like something I try to say, "I didn't care for it." rather than "It's terrible!" So, I treat positive things as objective and negative things as subjective. I think that's ok.
